1945
Paramount founded by Mr. Sevantilal Khandwala with our first factory in Mazgaon, Mumbai, to produce electrical conduit pipes and fittings for global markets.
1954
First Export Excellence Award received from the Engineering Export Promotion Council, recognising Paramount's early contribution to Indian exports.
1963
Paramount relocates to the Kandivali Co-operative Industrial Estate as the anchor factory in the newly constructed industrial zone.
1980
Electroplating and Earth Rod production introduced to expand manufacturing capability beyond electrical conduit pipes.
1994
Axis founded by Mr. Kanderp Khandwala under Paramount, expanding the product portfolio to cable lugs, cable glands and other electrical hardware.
1998
AB Cable Accessories and Distribution Line Hardware supplied to Yemen in Axis's first major international order for LV & MV Cable Fittings.
2003
First Indian company to be UL 467 certified for Earthing and Grounding equipment and UL 451 for Cable Lugs.
2008
First Indian company to be NFC certified for AB cable accessories, helping translate the global standard for Indian needs.
2009
First company in India to receive BS EN 50164 certification for earthing equipment.
2013
Rural electrification products supplied across East Africa, part of a USD 10 million programme bringing reliable power infrastructure to communities across the region.
2014
Rated SE 1A by CRISIL (S&P Global), highlighting our strong organisational and financial performance to bankers and investors.
2016 onwards
Axis continues to invest in the foundations of a healthy society: we have built water infrastructure in villages, rebuilt neo-natal ICU wards in low-income hospitals, partnered with NGO’s to support destitute women through literacy and skills programmes, and continue to do much more.
2022
NABL accreditation (ISO 17xxxx) and UL approval for Axis’s R&D and testing facilities.
2026
Axis and Paramount to merge, consolidating 8 decades of manufacturing capability and export heritage under one organisation.
2027
Boisar Factory commissioned, adding 100,000 sq ft manufacturing capacity.
