From building basic water infrastructure in villages to refurbishing a NICU ward at a government hospital, Axis supports practical initiatives across water, healthcare, education, and sanitation. These efforts focus on improving access to essential facilities and creating better conditions for communities.

Axis strengthens India’s School Infrastructure
Education depends on access to the right learning environment and basic infrastructure. Many schools across India still need essential facilities that support students in their day-to-day learning.
In collaboration with various Rotary Clubs, Axis has supported schools and colleges with e-learning kits and technology for classrooms. These resources help teachers use digital tools as part of the learning process and give students greater access to technology. CSR initiatives also focus on basic school infrastructure, including drinking water facilities, study tables and chairs, and toilet blocks. These facilities help create a safer and more suitable environment for students to learn.
Result: Through collaborations with various Rotary Clubs, more than 100 toilets, 5,000 study tables and chairs, and 50 drinking water facilities have been provided to government-run schools.
Axis improves access to safe drinking water in villages
Families travel long distances to collect water.
In 2015, Axis supported the development of complete water infrastructure in a village, including a borewell, water tank, and piping network. The system helped make clean drinking water available at strategic locations within the village and reduced the need for residents to travel long distances.
The initiative was subsequently extended to a network of 10 villages across different regions in India.
Result: More than 100,000 families have been reached through this initiative.
Axis upgrades hospital facilities and medical equipment
Government-run hospitals often require upgrades to their facilities and medical equipment to support patient care.
Over the years, Axis has supported hospitals across the Mumbai metropolitan region with infrastructure upgrades and medical equipment, focusing on facilities that serve large numbers of patients.
Result: Axis funded the complete renovation of the pediatric ward at BSES Hospital, which receives 12,000 pediatric patients each year. Incubators and CPAP systems have also been provided to major hospitals in Mumbai that serve thousands of patients annually.
Axis addresses local community needs
Local communities often have specific requirements that need practical support. In association with Rotary Clubs, Axis participates in projects that address these needs at the local level.
These initiatives focus on providing useful facilities and equipment based on the requirements identified within each community.
Result: Axis has supported local neighbourhoods with CCTV cameras and provided wheelchairs for people with disabilities.
