Overview
This role supports the operation and maintenance of semi-automatic machines on the production floor. Responsibilities include understanding machine processes, supporting troubleshooting activities, monitoring production output, and ensuring consistent day-to-day machine performance. The individual will work closely with supervisors, operators, and maintenance teams to meet production targets efficiently and safely.
Requirements
Education
Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering. ITI or equivalent qualifications may also apply.
Experience
2+ years of experience in semi-automatic or automated machine operation in a manufacturing setup.

Duties and Responsibilities
Machine Operation and Support
- Learn and understand machine operations, handling procedures, and correct settings including PLC adjustments where applicable.
- Operate semi-automatic machines under supervision and maintain vigilance on machine condition.
- Identify and resolve minor machine issues before escalating to vendors or senior engineers.
- Support preventive maintenance schedules and ensure proper upkeep of tools and equipment.
Production Monitoring
- Monitor daily output from semi-automatic machines and report deviations promptly.
- Ensure raw materials are available in line with production plans.
- Coordinate with supervisors and operators to achieve daily production targets.
- Maintain accurate production and downtime records for review.
Training and Coordination
- Attend supplier demonstrations to develop machine operation and troubleshooting competency.
- Support the training and guidance of operators and helpers on machine handling and safety procedures.
- Communicate technical instructions clearly and effectively to the production team.

- Foundational understanding of mechanical systems and machine operation.
