Single Insulation Piercing Connectors
Works with AB cable messenger wire and supporting systems to create tap connections for line continuation, distribution, street lighting, or household service drops. Fully sealed to prevent water intrusion, with a black high-strength engineering-plastic body, tinned copper, tinned copper alloy, aluminium, or aluminium alloy contact plates, galvanised steel fasteners, and an aluminium or aluminium-zinc alloy shear nut. Tap connections can be made from either side and include a grease-filled end cap. Installable on live lines without stripping the cable, passes a 6 KV underwater test, and its bimetallic-compatible contact plates and shear-nut design ensure even, reliable tightening across a wide cable size range.
